eClubhouse is a nationwide online community in Finland offering activities and opportunities for people recovering from mental health challenges, as well as for anyone looking for community, meaningful activities, or something to do. It also provides study and employment support for members.
The eClubhouse model has generated strong interest within our Nordic network. Now, the model is set to expand internationally, as Sverige’s Fontänhus Riksförbund, the Swedish national Clubhouse organisation, has received approximately SEK 6.6 million in funding from the Swedish Inheritance Fund (Allmänna arvsfonden) for a three-year project.
Like our eClubhouse in Finland, the new service in Sweden will be built on the Howspace platform. The Finnish Clubhouse Coalition will support the development by sharing our experience and expertise. The project also involves Swedish Clubhouses, Mimi folkhögskola, and FCV Sverige, an organisation specialising in game-based learning. The project will officially launch in November, but we are already working together to lay the groundwork.
It is exciting to see the eClubhouse model, developed in Finland, now being taken forward internationally!
