ADHD Awareness Month 2025: Many Faces of ADHD

On behalf of ADHD-Europe, GAMIAN-Europe’s member, we are  delighted to invite our members to participate in ADHD Awareness Month 2025, taking place this October under the theme “Many Faces of ADHD.”

This international campaign is organised by ADHD Europe and the Global ADHD Coalition, with support from the World Federation of ADHD, R2D2 Mental Health, and the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA). Together, the initiative aims to highlight the realities of ADHD, raise awareness, and share valuable lived experiences.

Live Webinar – Save the Date

One of the highlights of the month is a live online event:

Applying the Neurodiversity Approach to ADHD: Exploring the Lived Experience of ADHD as Neurodivergence
📅 22 October 2025
🕗 20:00 CET – Presentation by Prof. Saskia van der Oord, KU Leuven
🕣 20:30 CET – Live Q&A

You can easily join and follow the event:

#TalkingThursdays – Weekly ADHD Awareness Webinars

In addition to the live event, members can follow the #TalkingThursdays series. Every Thursday in October, pre-recorded webinars and discussions will be released, covering a wide range of perspectives:

  • Peer Stories – highlighting lived experiences of ADHD

  • Men’s Panel – in collaboration with ADDA and MASG Europe

  • Youth Panel – in collaboration with CADDRA (Canada)

  • Children’s Panel – in collaboration with CHADD & the European Parents Association

Spotlight: Children’s Panel Webinar

A special focus will be the Children’s Panel webinar, facilitated by Karen Sampson Hoffman (CHADD), a leading advocate for evidence-based ADHD information. She will be joined by:

  • Arja Krauchenberg (European Parents Association)

  • Zeena Hicks (ADHD Europe)

  • Nina Hoven (President, ADHD Europe)

As Nina Hoven reminds us:

“We always can do things better and share more understanding, which helps people with neurodevelopmental challenges. What is good for these people is good for everybody.”
