GAMIAN-Europe Advances Patient Engagement in TRUSTING Project at Annual Meeting in Barcelona

GAMIAN-Europe played a key role at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the TRUSTING project, held on 17–18 June at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona. This five-year EU-funded research initiative (2023–2028) aims to develop a speech-based clinical decision support system to predict relapse in individuals with psychosis.

This annual gathering brings together all project partners from across Europe to review progress, align strategies, and strengthen collaboration. Each year, the meeting is hosted by a different project partner—in 2025, UPF welcomed the consortium to Barcelona.

GAMIAN-Europe was represented by Cecilia Angulo, Project and Policy Manager, and Erik Van der Eycken, EU Project Manager. GAMIAN-Europe leads Work Package 6 (WP6) on communication and stakeholder engagement, which ensures that the project’s results reach healthcare professionals, people with lived experience, and the wider public.

As part of the Patients’ Representative Board, GAMIAN-Europe plays a central role in amplifying patient voices and promoting the dissemination of key findings. Our involvement helps ensure that TRUSTING remains grounded in real-world needs and delivers meaningful impact for those affected by psychosis.
