📢 It’s European Mental Health Week 2025 and we’re ready!

GAMIAN-Europe is excited to participate in two pivotal events during European Mental Health Week, and one summit organised separately, shaping the future of mental health in Europe:

Mental Health SummitMay 20, 10:45–11:30

This two-day summit will focus on mental health and recovery in modern society, with reflections on the SANT Committee’s mission to Ukraine. Policymakers, mental health professionals, and cultural leaders will come together to discuss key challenges and solutions.

Care for Mental Health, Invest in Social RightsMay 20, 16:00–17:30

A hybrid event hosted by the Mental Health Intergroup, co-chaired by MEPs Maria Walsh, Alex Agius Saliba, Jana Toom, and Tilly Metz. The event will highlight the need to embed mental health into EU social policies and rights-based initiatives.

Making Mental Health Visible: Data as a Tool for RightsMay 21, 11:00–12:30

 Hosted by GAMIAN-Europe, we’ll explore how better data can strengthen rights and shape more inclusive mental health policies. This is also the launch of our three new dashboards mapping: 1. Prevalence of mental health conditions, 2. Stigma across society and 3. Policy action, services, and investment across Europe.
