Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Communications & Outreach Intern with interest in mental health and research to support our European-funded research initiatives, our communications strategy, awareness projects. The role includes managing social media, websites, newsletters, strategic campaigns, content creation, digital marketing, event support, and outreach tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support communication activities for European-funded research projects and advocacy campaigns
- Draft and schedule engaging social media posts (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Maintain and update organisational and project websites; identify errors or improvements proactively
- Help track communication KPIs and outreach impact
- Create visual materials (using Canva or similar) and liaise with external suppliers
- Assist with newsletters, reports, infographics, presentations, and booth materials for events
- Support internal meetings, online events, and administrative tasks
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- Background in communications, journalism, digital marketing, or related fields
- Strong English communication skills (additional EU languages are a plus)
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO basics, Canva, and social media management
- Curiosity about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and willingness to learn its applications in communications
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Experience in EU-funded projects and mental health advocacy is an advantage
