The Vibrant Mind Exhibition recently made its impactful stop in London, where it captivated visitors with its powerful showcase of the connection between art and mental health. Attendees were inspired by the diverse range of artwork that reflected the resilience and creativity of individuals facing mental health challenges. The London stop provided a wonderful platform for artists and community members to come together, share experiences, and promote mental well-being through creative expression. The event featured notable attendees, including Peter Keri and Karl Lavò from GAMIAN-Europe, alongside Rethink Mental Illness. During the event, Peter emphasised the significance of art in mental health advocacy and the importance of cross-country collaboration in empowering patient voices across Europe and beyond.
The exhibition has travelled across Europe, bringing together diverse artworks that challenge stigmas surrounding mental health and foster open dialogue on the subject. As the exhibition continues its journey, we are excited to announce that its final destination will be in Ireland. The final stop promises to be a celebration of creativity and mental health, inviting individuals to engage with the art and the stories behind it. We encourage everyone to join us in this closing chapter, where we will continue to highlight the essential role of art in mental health care.
In addition to the exhibition’s conclusion, two webinars are coming up as the final chapters of the Vibrant Mind initiative. The first webinar on the 6th of November, organised by GAMIAN-Europe and the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA), will focus on the role of art in processing collective trauma and supporting social change, drawing on perspectives from both experts with lived experience of mental health conditions and psychologists. The second webinar on the 11th of December will reflect on the entire Vibrant Mind’s journey from start to finish, discussing its impact and the importance of ongoing advocacy for mental health. These webinars aim to foster dialogue and awareness around mental health issues while celebrating the creativity that helps individuals express and process their experiences.
Registration is now open for Art as a Socio-Psychological Mirror webinar – Wednesday, 06 November
