Brain Awareness Week

Each year, for Brain Awareness Week, GAMIAN-Europe looks at different aspects of the brain and how it relates to mental health. From different tips around brain health to video testimonials, each project tries to give a unique, patient-centred view of mental health as a whole and it’s complex connection to the brain.

European Mental Health Week

Annually in May, the European Week for Mental Health is dedicated to raising awareness, educating, and advocating on mental health issues across Europe. Hosted by a collaboration of individuals, professionals, and organisations, the event features workshops, seminars, and public talks. Each year, GAMIAN-Europe creates a small awareness campaign to celebrate this important week.

World Mental Health Day

Each year, for World Mental Health Day, GAMIAN-Europe marks the occasion by amplifying the voices of people with lived experience, raising awareness of key mental health challenges, and advocating for better, more inclusive mental health policies across Europe. Through dedicated campaigns, events, and publications, we highlight pressing issues such as stigma, access to care, and the need for person-centred services. Our aim is to keep mental health high on the political agenda and to ensure that those affected by mental ill-health are actively involved in shaping the solutions.
