Migraine and mental health in women
Women point to the many challenges they experienced with migraine attacks and a mental health condition. The negative impact of this comorbid condition on women’s mental health is considerable, rendering many unable to do anything for days.

Migraines and comorbid mental health conditions
This report addresses the economic and social costs of comorbid migraine and mental health conditions, continuing from previous research on this topic. A workshop with seven individuals who have lived experience of this comorbidity and a small survey with 13 experts was carried out to identify key public awareness messages.

Migraine & Mental Health: A Call for Integrated Care
In 2024–2025, GAMIAN-Europe and EMHA built on last year’s project on migraine and comorbid mental health conditions by organising the webinar “Migraine & Mental Health: A Call for Integrated Care.” The event highlighted research findings, shared expert and patient perspectives, and called for holistic, integrated approaches and stronger policy action.
