Highlights 2025
In 2025, ADHD Europe focused on strengthening capacity, visibility, and collaboration. Capacity-building support was provided to eight new member organisations, contributing to a stronger and more connected network.
The Annual General Meeting, held in London, was preceded by the Timespan Patient Day, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates for meaningful dialogue and collaboration. Digital outreach also expanded through the growth of the ADHD Europe YouTube channel, offering expert-led resources for clinicians, families, and individuals.
Global awareness efforts were strengthened through ADHD Awareness Month, delivered in partnership with the ADHD Awareness Coalition. Under the theme “Many Faces of ADHD”, the campaign included webinars, social media activities, and international collaboration to promote inclusive and evidence-based messaging.
Advocacy, Research and Collaboration
ADHD Europe continued to play an active role in EU-level advocacy, ensuring that ADHD remains recognised as a policy priority. The organisation contributed to multiple high-level discussions and events, engaging with policymakers, healthcare professionals, and researchers.
Research engagement remained a key focus, with continued participation in Horizon Europe projects such as R2D2-MH and TIMESPAN. These collaborations ensure that patient perspectives are integrated into research, innovation, and policy development.
The organisation also contributed to the expansion of digital tools and platforms, including increased access to multilingual resources and initiatives supporting shared decision-making in care.
ADHD Awareness Month 2025
ADHD Awareness Month 2025, under the theme “Many Faces of ADHD”, highlighted the diversity of experiences and promoted inclusion across age groups and genders. Activities included webinars, panel discussions, expert-led sessions, and peer interviews, as well as global collaboration with partners across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.
The campaign brought together patients, professionals, and organisations worldwide, contributing to increased awareness, reduced stigma, and stronger global engagement.
Events and Engagement
Throughout 2025, ADHD Europe participated in numerous high-level meetings and events, including discussions at the European Parliament, EU Health Summit, EU Disability Week, and Brain Innovation Days. These engagements focused on improving patient outcomes, strengthening health literacy, and advancing mental health policy across Europe. Looking Ahead to 2026
Looking ahead, ADHD Europe aims to secure sustainable funding, expand multilingual resources, strengthen EU-level advocacy, and launch a new pan-European survey on ADHD and neurodiversity. Efforts will also focus on increasing member engagement and strengthening collaboration with global partners, including the ADHD World Federation.
